{"id":2514,"date":"2025-07-01T01:32:44","date_gmt":"2025-07-01T01:32:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.joyaapples.com\/?post_type=recipe&#038;p=2514"},"modified":"2025-09-01T01:41:30","modified_gmt":"2025-09-01T01:41:30","slug":"joya-apple-tartlets","status":"publish","type":"recipe","link":"https:\/\/dev.joyaapples.com\/vi\/all-recipes\/joya-apple-tartlets\/","title":{"rendered":"B\u00e1nh tart t\u00e1o JOYA\u00ae"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/dev.joyaapples.com\/app\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Week-8-Lazy-Picnics-3-9-December-2018-Photo-post-01-1000x600-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2563\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dev.joyaapples.com\/app\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Week-8-Lazy-Picnics-3-9-December-2018-Photo-post-01-1000x600-1.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/dev.joyaapples.com\/app\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Week-8-Lazy-Picnics-3-9-December-2018-Photo-post-01-1000x600-1-300x180.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dev.joyaapples.com\/app\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Week-8-Lazy-Picnics-3-9-December-2018-Photo-post-01-1000x600-1-768x461.jpg 768w, https:\/\/dev.joyaapples.com\/app\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Week-8-Lazy-Picnics-3-9-December-2018-Photo-post-01-1000x600-1-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>JOYA\u00ae Apples are so versatile that they even work well in these savoury tartlets with caramelised onions, thyme and blue cheese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Caramelised onions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>10 ml (2 tsp) olive or avocado oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 medium onions, halved and thinly sliced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2,5 ml (\u00bd tsp) dried thyme<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>25 ml (5 tsp) balsamic vinegar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>25 ml (5 tsp) soft brown sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>10 ml (2 tsp) fresh thyme leaves<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>salt and pepper to taste<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tartlets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>45 ml (3 tbsp) olive or avocado oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 phyllo pastry sheets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>about 50 g blue cheese, crumbled<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1-2 JOYA\u00ae Apples in the skin, quartered and thinly sliced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>extra fresh thyme leaves<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>toasted sesame seeds (see tip)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Caramelised onions:&nbsp;<\/strong>Heat oil over a medium heat in a large frying pan and saut\u00e9 onions with the dried thyme until the onions begin to brown (about 10-15 minutes).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the vinegar, sugar and fresh thyme and saut\u00e9 for a few more minutes or until caramelised. Remove from the heat and allow to cool.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tartlets:<\/strong>&nbsp;Preheat the oven to 200 \u00b0C. Lightly grease 12 hollows of a muffin pan with oil.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Place one sheet of phyllo pastry on a clean work surface and brush one side with oil. Place a second phyllo sheet on top and brush with oil. Repeat with the last sheet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cut the phyllo into 12 squares. Line each muffin pan hollow with a pastry square. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool in the pan before removing carefully.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fill the phyllo shells with caramelised onions and top with blue cheese and apple. Sprinkle with fresh thyme and sesame seeds. Serve at room temperature at a lazy picnic.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Chef&#8217;s Tip<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To toast sesame seeds: place in a dry frying pan over a medium heat. Toast for a few minutes, tossing the pan every now and then, until the sesame seeds are golden brown.
